Scott Curtsinger has been in the guiding business for 22 years. He is the former founder and owner of Longneck Outfitters in Lubbock, Tx, which became a premier waterfowl destination for hunters from all over the United States. During the off seasons, Scott started fishing the bays and flats around Port Aransas (Port A). In 2019, he sold Longneck Outfitters and decided to make Port A his home and obtained his US Coast Guard Captain’s license. He brings a wealth of knowledge and experience with him to provide customers with a safe and fun trip on the water. Customer relationships are what make things work and Scott will go above and beyond to ensure a great time fishing the waters around Port A.

All charters will take place around the Port Aransas area and will launch from the boat ramps in Port A Municipal Harbor.
Lure fishing is offered for those who are capable of casting and working different soft and hard baits. Some of our best catches come from using plastic baits in areas that hold good numbers of fish. Targeted species will be Trout, Redfish, Flounder, and other species that we may see running or chasing bait close to the surface. There are days at the jetty where many different species can be caught and make for some excellent rod bending action.
Bait fishing will also be provided as needed. Shrimp, Menhaden, Crab, and mullet will be the main baits used and fished different ways to ensure fish catching action. Some days cut or live bait is all the fish prefer and it will be provided on every trip to ensure success.
We use only the best equipment to make sure your time on the water is well spent. Shimano Ultegra, Daiwa Saltist Back Bay reels and Shimano Teramar inshore rods are the standard for our Lure fishing trips. These are high quality setups that are light and easy to cast without wearing your arm out. Our bait fishing setups consist of Penn and Shimano reels on Med-Hvy rods to make sure we get the big ones in. We will include Penn 20’s at the jetty with wire leader in case we get into some sharks. You are also welcome to bring your own gear if you would like.
We like to keep our groups to three or less, to ensure everyone gets action and boats don’t get overcrowded and remain safe. If you have more than 3, please call and we will try our best to accommodate you with multiple boats so everyone has a safe and fun time.
